A true tribute to Peruvian gastronomy, Manko celebrates the meeting of heritage and modernity. Born from the fusion of ancestral Andean culture with influences from Europe, Japan, China and Africa, the restaurant embodies a bold cultural blend. For this new chapter in its history, Moma Group and Bureau Lacroix imagined a rethought identity: renewing Manko while preserving its essence. From the very entrance, Manko’s founding codes engage in dialogue with a contemporary vocabulary. The venue’s iconic motifs unfold at different scales, coming to life on a wall installation and evolving through new forms. Among them, medallions inspired by the Inca calendar are reinterpreted as ceiling lights, casting a golden glow across deep midnight-blue ceilings. Inside the restaurant, the iconic chairs are reinvented: reupholstered in blue and gold fabrics, they sit alongside new seating and glass and brass light fixtures, in natural continuity with the original pieces. Behind this composition, a new ceviche bar is revealed in blue tones, wrapped in a mosaic evoking the marine richness of Peru. The signature bar undergoes a transformation of its setting, featuring an extraordinary golden structure, a medallion overlooking a through bar back in walnut, red marble and mirror. This interplay of materials and reflections captures the light and enhances the venue’s historic staircase, creating a subtle dialogue between past and present. Through a scenography of light, vegetation and noble materials, Manko once again establishes itself as a vibrant, gastronomic and festive destination.
