CORE goes beyond the idea of a simple coffee shop to become a true living space—both functional and soothing. The venue adapts to the rhythm of the day: efficient and fast-paced at lunchtime, more contemplative in the afternoon, inviting visitors to pause within a setting that is both raw and refined. A fluid spatial sequence connects the takeaway counter with a preserved central area, where light, textures, and volumes come together to create an enveloping atmosphere. Cream and chocolate polished concrete flooring subtly delineates the different zones. Overhead, Japanese paper and light oak diffuse a soft, muted light; the hand-painted motifs by artist Cédric Peltier echo the metallic reflections embedded in the finishes of the main bar, crowned by a carefully sourced Japanese paper pendant light. The overall design is minimalist yet inhabited, featuring chocolate velvet and mirrored banquettes, bespoke stools, and tables that reflect the venue’s material palette—brick, dressed stone, and wood. The back bar, conceived as a domestic screen, integrates lively, thoughtful details, including a niche dedicated to Tosca, the venue’s emblematic Labrador. Balancing contemporary rigor with artisanal warmth, CORE embodies the natural elegance of a living space designed to endure, breathe, and bring people together.
